Thank You From A Falling Bomb

There’s a poem I heard being read on the radio a year or two back. It was called, “A Thank-You Letter From the Bomb That Visited My Home 11 Years Ago” by Ahmed Badr, originally from Iraq. I’m glad I was able to track it down online.

It’s a letter from the falling bomb that destroyed a boy’s family home, forcing his family into a life as refugees in Syria. It’s really beautiful and I definitely suggest you give it a read.

It also reminds me of this song from when I was growing up.
